International Women’s day’ 2025: An Event to Remember
Presidency Foundation celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8, 2025, with great enthusiasm, embracing this year’s theme of strength, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of gender equality. The event was presided by key officials, Dr. Vijayan Immanuel, Vice Chancellor, Dr. Vidya Shankar Shetty, Pro Vice Chancellor, Dr. Sameena Noor Ahmed Panali, Registrar and Dr. Anu Sukhdev, Dean – Student Affairs.
A key highlight of the event was a spectacular fashion show by Presidency Foundation Skill Development Centre in association with Presidency School of Design.
Under the expert guidance of Ms. Manjutharini, Trainer at the Presidency Foundation skill development Centre, 12 students of the Self-Employed Tailor course designed and crafted stunning outfits, which were brought to life on the ramp by Presidency School of Design students. Adding to the glamour, the models’ makeup was beautifully done by Assistant Beauty Therapist course students, led by their Trainer – Ms. Nihar. This fashion show was a testament to the incredible talent and dedication of Presidency Foundation students, highlighting their journey of skill development and empowerment.
The event gave an opportunity to the students to showcase their skills and receive appreciation as an acknowledgement. The event was well received by the faculty, staff at Presidency University.
